About a year ago, as I was wrapping up my dissertation to complete my Ph.D., I was brainstorming gift ideas for my advisor. In addition to supporting me academically in so many ways throughout grad school, she and I traveled the world together presenting our STEM education research and working with teachers. In less than four years, we traveled together to Australia, Japan (several times), South Korea, Taiwan, Italy, Finland, and numerous cities within the U.S. What kind of gift do you give someone who has played such a significant role in your life? A hand-made gift, of course!
I was immediately drawn to the Parisian Blossoms suite of Stampin’ Up! products. The champagne foil elements on the Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper, the gorgeous dies, a great color combination… what’s not to love! I tried to resist purchasing the set, but after five of my planned trips (Portland, San Francisco, Arizona, Vancouver, and Montreal) were cancelled due to COVID-19, I decided a little travel nostalgia was in order. This card design brought back so many great memories of traveling to Paris with my now-husband in 2010!
Timeless Tulips Class by Mail
March 2020's Class by Mail featured three card designs (including a fun fold) using the Timeless Tulips bundle. I love the pretty colors and the feeling of spring these cards evoke!
I love the whimsical animals in the Birthday Bonanza suite, and especially with the stress and anxiety of coronavirus/COVID-19 right now, I’ll take any excuse for bright colors and cheer! This card features a fun buckle fold design.
This is my February 2020 swap design, featuring the Happy Birthday To You Sale-A-Bration stamp set. I love the images in this stamp set, and the fact that I earned it for free with a $50 purchase was the icing on the cake! (See what I did there?! Pun definitely intended!)
February 2020’s Class by Mail featured three card designs (including a fun fold design) using the Honey Bee bundle. I love the gold foil accents in the Golden Honey Designer Series Paper!
